Barcelona players 'covered Getafe's away dressing room in fake blood'

Barcelona star Andres Iniesta reportedly apologises to Getafe captain Pedro Leon after the players poured fake blood in the away dressing room at the weekend.

Barcelona star Andres Iniesta reportedly apologised to Getafe captain Pedro Leon after some of the first-team players left fake blood in the away dressing room as a Halloween prank last weekend.

Newspaper AS has published pictures of what appears to be red paint squirted over toilets, mirrors and tiles in Getafe's away dressing room.

After Barcelona's 2-0 win on Saturday, the messy scene was discovered, which reportedly prompted Iniesta to apologise on behalf of the squad to Leon over the phone.

"It was a lack of respect but I received a call from Iniesta and now as far as we are concerned the matter is closed," Leon is quoted as saying. "We accept the apology and we don't want to discuss the matter any more."

The players issued an apology via the club's official website for interrupting Getafe's Victor Rodriguez during his post-match press conference at the weekend.

A group of players, including Luis Suarez and Neymar, entered the press room wearing Halloween costumes.
