Chelsea supporters reportedly smashed up cafes and shops in central Paris on Wednesday night ahead of their side's Champions League meeting with Paris Saint-Germain.
Around 400 Blues fans could be seen making 'Seig Heil' salutes and chanting racist abuse, before attacking supporters of the French club, according to The Telegraph.
Flares were said to be let off with a thick black smoke filling the city's streets, while tables and chairs were left destroyed.
The same report quotes one officer at the scene as saying: "We're trying to contain the violence but it's spreading."
Chelsea went on to lose the match at the Parc des Princes 3-1.
