Adidas 'to mark Kevin Pietersen's 100th Test on Ashes bat'

Adidas are reportedly denied giving Kevin Pietersen golden cricket boots to wear for his 100th Test, but will mark the occasion with stickers on his bat.

Adidas will reportedly mark Kevin Pietersen's landmark of reaching 100 Test matches during this week's first Ashes Test against Australia in Brisbane.

The 33-year-old, whose kit is sponsored by the global sports brand, is expected to feature in England's opener this week following a knee injury.

Initially, Adidas wanted to give Pietersen golden cricket boots to wear, but International Cricket Council regulations have prevented the batsman from sporting them, according to the Daily Mail.

Instead, gold stickers displaying 'KP 100th' will be embossed on his Adidas bat.
