England manager Roy Hodgson reportedly puts the national team to the test with regular general knowledge quizzes.
The former West Bromwich Albion boss has admitted that the brain power of his players continues to "surprise" him.
"The players I work with always surprise me with their general knowledge and their intelligence," The Telegraph quotes Hodgson as saying. "They are a lot better at the quizzes that we have than I am, that's for sure.
"You will be very surprised by the intelligence levels of footballers. It would be a mistake to misjudge them, I think footballers are some of the brainiest people I know."
England opened their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign with a 2-0 victory over Switzerland earlier this month.
