An Everton supporter has been found guilty of racially abusing striker Victor Anichebe during a match in October.
William Blything was arrested after two Everton fans reported that the 42-year-old had called Anichebe a "f****** black monkey" during the Toffees' 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road three months ago.
District Judge Jeremy Coleman said at West London Magistrates' Court, according to the Daily Mail: "If the players had heard these comments, and there is no evidence that they did, it would have caused them upset."
Blything will avoid a custodial sentence when a ruling is made on February 11.
