Ghanaian FA wants "sexy ladies" to encourage men to attend matches

Ghanaian FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi says that he wants "sexy ladies" to watch domestic matches in order to boost the attendance figures.

Ghanaian FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi has claimed that he wants to invite "sexy ladies" to domestic football fixtures in the country with the aim of boosting attendance figures.

With figures having reportedly dropped significantly over the last 10 years, Nyantakyi believes that the presence of women will encourage men to "jump and follow".

"Me I have said this thing over and over again - we must let sexy ladies enter our stadia and the men will readily follow them into the stadium to watch games," Nyantakyi told Monti FM.

"Most of these men when they hear that beautiful girls are coming to the stadium today, they'll all jump and follow them to the stadium, and they are going there purposely to see the ladies."

According to BBC Sport, football fans in Ghana are opting to watch Premier League games on television as opposed to attending local matches.
