Paris Saint-Germain's mega-rich owners Qatari Sports Investments (QSI) are said to be close to completing a takeover of Leeds United.
The Championship side were on course for Premier League promotion under Marcelo Bielsa for much of last season, only to falter in the closing stages of the campaign and then lose out in the playoff semi-finals.
Leeds are expected to be one of the favourites for promotion again next season, and according to Le Parisien, QSI are impressed by the club's potential and have begun talks with current owner Andrea Radrizzani about a potential sale.
The newspaper claims that QSI envisage Leeds becoming PSG's "little brother" when they enter the lucrative English football market, opening up the possibility of the French side sending high-calibre players out on loan to Elland Road.
The company have spent more than £1 billion on players since taking over PSG in 2012, including a world record £198m on Neymar two years ago, and would likely make significant investment in order to get Leeds back into the top flight at the earliest opportunity.
Radrizzani is thought to have paid £45m to purchase Leeds in 2017.
