According to Football Insider, relegation-threatened Leicester have drawn up part of their plan for the upcoming January transfer window, in which they will look to strengthen their ranks.
The report claims that the newly-promoted Foxes are prepared to use their links to Manchester United in order to secure a loan signing in the New Year.
Joining Leicester as head coach at the beginning of December, Ruud van Nistelrooy has spent the majority of this season at the Theatre of Dreams.
The Dutchman was originally an assistant to compatriot Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford, before taking over as interim boss during the autumn.
It is understood that Leicester are still wary of overstepping the line in terms of Profit and Sustainability rules, so temporary deals appear more likely for players in January.

As the winter trading point draws nearer, it is believed that Leicester are targeting a new striker and a fresh centre-back before the deadline in February.
