Liverpool's Anfield scoreboard damaged due to high winds

Liverpool's scoreboard at Anfield suffers damage due to high winds from the tail-end of Hurricane Gonzalo.

The tail-end of Hurricane Gonzalo has caused damage to the scoreboard at Anfield ahead of Liverpool's Champions League clash against Real Madrid tonight.

Yesterday, workers were seen trying to repair the scoreboard after Britain was hit with high winds, which also caused a number of flights from London to be cancelled.

Both the Liverpool and Real Madrid players trained during the blustery conditions at Anfield yesterday ahead of tonight's showdown, which will feature Ballon d'Or winner and ex-Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Madrid currently top Group B with six points, while Liverpool reside third with three after two games.
