Man City injury, suspension news and return dates for Chelsea clash: Dias, Doku, Ake, Bobb latest

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester City's injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Chelsea on Saturday.

Manchester City will be looking to leapfrog Chelsea into the top four of the Premier League when they welcome the West Londoners to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

After putting Ipswich Town to the sword 6-0 at Portman Road last Sunday, the Citizens threw away a two-goal lead to lose 4-2 away against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Wednesday night, leaving them in danger of failing to qualify for the knockout rounds.

Pep Guardiola's men will now shift their focus back to the Premier League where they currently sit fifth in the table, two points behind Chelsea in fourth.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with Enzo Maresca's side.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Man City are set to be without influential midfielder Rodri for the rest of the season after he suffered knee ligament damage in a 2-2 draw with Arsenal in September.

However, the Spaniard offered a positive update on his recovery at the end of last year, setting a new target for when he wishes to return.

Ruben Dias

Possible return date: January 25 (vs. Chelsea)

Ruben Dias has emerged as a doubt for Saturday after he asked Guardiola to be taken off at half time in Man City's midweek defeat to PSG.

The Portuguese defender recently recovered from a muscle injury that kept him sidelined for six games before starting City's last two matches against PSG and Ipswich.
