Steven Gerrard 'to give his mother £700,000 home before LA Galaxy move'

Steven Gerrard will reportedly give his mother a £700,000 property in Merseyside before he leaves for the United States to play for LA Galaxy.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has reportedly decided to hand over a £700,000 home in Merseyside to his mother before he leaves the country.

The former England skipper is due to leave his hometown in the summer to join MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy for 18 months.

In the last few months, the midfielder has been renting a four-bed detached home with his wife Alex and three daughters - Lilly-Ella, 11, Lexie, 9, and three-year-old Lourdes.

According to the Daily Star, Gerrard, who has been part of Liverpool's senior side for 17 years, has opted to give the Formby property to his mother Julie Ann.

The footballer's final game for Liverpool will be away to Stoke City on May 24.
