Twitter account claiming to be Raheem Sterling's agent 'is fake'

A Twitter account claiming to belong to Raheem Sterling's agent Aidy Ward is reportedly revealed as fake after the user made a comment about ISIS.

A Twitter user claiming to be Raheem Sterling's agent Aidy Ward has emerged as fake following a tweet about extremist militant group ISIS.

Ward has been in the headlines of late due to the contract saga involving Sterling, who is believed to be trying to orchestrate a move away from Liverpool this summer.

This week, the 20-year-old missed training due to illness and is reportedly refusing to go on the Reds' pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia.

A Twitter profile carrying the handle @Aidy_Ward_Agent caused controversy when the user replied to a supporter by writing: "[Sterling would] rather go fight for #ISIS than go on a shitty tour with James Milner."

According to The Mirror, the account does not belong to Ward, who was recently sacked by West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino.

Sterling returned to Liverpool training on Friday morning.
