Steven Gerrard considers legal action against El Hadji Diouf's racism claims?

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is reportedly considering taking legal action after ex-teammate El Hadji Diouf accused him of racism.

Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is reportedly considering taking legal action after his ex-teammate El Hadji Diouf accused him of racism.

The 35-year-old, who now plies his trade in the US for Los Angeles Galaxy, was critical of the Senegalese footballer in his new book My Story.

Gerrard claimed that Diouf was his least favourite signing during his 17-year spell at Anfield, which prompted the 34-year-old to tell Radio Future Media: "Gerrard has never liked black people.

"When I was in Liverpool, I showed him that I was black, I'm not English, but I will not let him walk all over me. All the time I spent there, he never dared to look me in the eye."

Gerrard's representatives have claimed that the ex-Liverpool star vehemently denies the allegations, and it is believed that the midfielder is considering legal action, according to The Telegraph.

Diouf spent three years at Anfield.
