Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly told by exclusive Hale golf club that he will have to wait for membership.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has reportedly been told that he will have to wait for a membership at the exclusive Hale golf club.

The Chilean, who is said to be a keen golfer, is believed to have been looking at courses around the area where he plans to set up a home.

Pellegrini was expected to be given instant membership, but has been informed that he will have to be put on the waiting list like everyone else, according to the Daily Mail.

The City boss is believed to have played a number of rounds at the club, which has a reported joining fee of £1,245.
