Roberto Mancini pays for own advert to thank fans in 'Manchester Evening News'

Roberto Mancini reportedly pays for his own full-page advert in the Manchester Evening News, telling Manchester City fans that they 'will always be his heart'.

Roberto Mancini is said to have used his own money to pay for an advert in the Manchester Evening News.

Earlier this morning, pictures of the advert, which have a message from Mancini along with a picture of the Italian, the FA Cup, the Community Shield and the Premier League trophy, circulated on Twitter.

Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan was one who tweeted a picture of the full-page spread. Click here to see Vaughan's image.

Mancini's message read: "Manchester City Supporters. 3 Unforgettable Years. You will always be in my heart. Ciao. Roberto Mancini."

The 48-year-old was dismissed earlier this week soon after the club's FA Cup final loss to Wigan Athletic.
