Romelu Lukaku to appear in court after being arrested in Los Angeles

Beverly Hills Police confirm that Romelu Lukaku was arrested last week for persistent noise complaints and will now attend a court hearing in early October.

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku has been summoned to a court hearing on October 2 after being arrested in Los Angeles for allegedly disturbing the peace.

Reports emerged from the United States on Saturday morning claiming that the 24-year-old, who is close to sealing a switch to Manchester United, had been arrested at his rented mansion in Beverley Hills last weekend.

It has now been confirmed that police were indeed called to an incident involving Lukaku, with the Belgian being given a misdemeanour citation for six separate noise complaints from locals.

A Beverley Hills Police statement revealed that Lukaku was released at the scene but will now attend court in three months' time.

The Red Devils play Crystal Palace on September 30, before a 10-day break for international duty with Belgium.

The Everton ace is to complete a £75m move to Man United later this weekend once he passes a medical in LA, where he has spent time with soon-to-be teammate Paul Pogba.
