Manchester United team 'forced to hand over mobile phones night before match'

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal reportedly orders his players to hand over their mobile phones the night before a game.

Manchester United's players are reportedly ordered by manager Louis van Gaal to hand over their mobile phones the night before a match.

In a bid to keep the team focused, the Dutchman is believed to have implemented a number of rules since taking over Old Trafford in the summer.

According to the Daily Mail, Van Gaal makes sure that the players do not use their phones prior to a match and is known to drop players who are late for breakfast on the day of a game.

United are yet to win a competitive fixture under the Dutchman's leadership.
