Manchester United's official television channel reportedly silenced pundit David May after he criticised manager David Moyes.
The former United defender was part of MUTV's coverage of Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.
According to the Daily Mail, May was hushed up by the presenter when he claimed that the Scotsman is "out of his depth" at Old Trafford, and told to focus on the manager's positive qualities.
Moyes, who took over from Sir Alex Ferguson last summer, has watched his side suffer 11 defeats in the Premier League this season so far.
