The wife of Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has insisted that she has never had an affair with his international teammate Sergio Aguero.
Model and actress Eliana Guercio has been married to the Argentine keeper since 2008, but was accused of cheating on the 28-year-old with the Manchester City striker prior to their wedding.
The 37-year-old has always dismissed the claims, and said in an interview on Argentine television: "It is not true. I have never had anything with Aguero. It seems terrible to me that they could link me with Kun.
"This is over 10 years old and for 10 years I've had to keep denying that anything happened. I don't ever know Aguero. I have two daughters and I am still being punished for this, I don't know why, I don't know what I've done. They've inventing a soap opera.
"The two of them have played together for the national team for 10 years and I don't think they've ever talked about it, they get on really well."
The two players could face each other in the Premier League on October 26 in the first Manchester derby of the season.
