Russia's deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin criticises airline Aeroflot's sponsorship deal with Manchester United.

Russia's deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has hit out at airline Aeroflot for agreeing a sponsorship deal with Premier League champions Manchester United.

The Russian airline secured a five-year deal with the Red Devils earlier this month, but Rogozin believes that the agreement has been made at the expense of investments in aircraft.

According to Reuters, Rogozin wrote on Twitter: "Aeroflot prefers Anglo-Saxon football and basketball clubs to our planes? I might invite them for an intimate talk."

President Vladimir Putin previously called on Aeroflot to focus on investing in Russian planes.
