Bastian Schweinsteiger wants to take Manchester United teammates to Oktoberfest

Bastian Schweinsteiger reveals that he wants to take his Manchester United teammates to Oktoberfest in Munich next month.

Bastian Schweinsteiger has revealed that he wants to take his Manchester United teammates to Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest.

The German World Cup winner attended the annual beer festival with his former club Bayern Munich, but this year could prove trickier now that he has moved to England.

The 31-year-old, who signed for the Red Devils last month for a reported £14m fee, has spoken to club captain Wayne Rooney about sharing the festival experience with his new teammates.

"I spoke to Rooney and discussed the possibility of me inviting the team to Oktoberfest, but I don't know how much time we'll have," Schweinsteiger told Sky Sports News.

This year's Oktoberfest runs from September 19 to October 4, and during that time, United will face Southampton, Sunderland and Arsenal in the Premier League.
