Richie Incognito quits Twitter over bullying scandal

Former Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito quits Twitter in the wake of the NFL's ruling that he was guilty of harassing teammate Jonathan Martin.

Former Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito has quit Twitter in the wake of the NFL's independent report into the bullying scandal at the team.

The 144-page document ruled that Incognito and two other teammates made regular derogatory comments towards offensive lineman Jonathan Martin, causing the 24-year-old to leave the team.

Incognito had been active on Twitter in the build up to the publication of the report and also hit back at lead investigator Ted Wells following its release before bidding farewell to the social media site.

"Goodbye twitter. Be well. See you on the other side," Incognito wrote before deleting his account.

Incognito was suspended by the Dolphins at the start of November and did not play for the team again.
