David Beckham has insisted that he has no plan to begin a new career as an actor.
A number of Hollywood producers have tipped the retired footballer for the film and TV industry, but the 38-year-old believes that acting would not be one of his talents.
"I have some friends who are actors - Tom Cruise is a very good friend of ours," Beckham said during a Chinese chat show with his wife Victoria, according to the Daily Star.
"But I don't think I have any plans to become an actor. I'm not sure I'd be very good at it."
Beckham quit football following stints at Manchester United, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain.
