Bernie Ecclestone has opened talks with German prosecutors over a potential settlement in his bribery trial.
The Formula 1 boss is on trial in Munich over allegations that he paid off a banker in the sale of a stake in the sport eight years ago.
The 83-year-old has denied the charge, but his legal team has told the court that he is willing to pay €25m (£19.79m) to Bayern Landesbank in order to end the case.
Under German law, criminal cases can be settled in some circumstances with lesser punishments, including financial settlements.
