Mo Farah's brother Omar has been jailed for 15 months for attempting to burgle an elderly couple's home while they slept.
The 21-year-old sibling of the double Olympic champion pleaded guilty to one count of attempting to burgle with intent at Kingston Crown Court this week.
The court heard that Farah tried to break into the Polish couple's residence on March 2 last year via the downstairs bedroom without realising that the pair were sleeping.
In court, it was claimed that the male occupant noticed a stranger at the window and shouted, which prompted the person to flee across the front garden and through the gate.
Farah, who shares a father with the British long-distance runner, has 15 previous convictions, which include robbery, burglary and handling stolen goods, according to The Telegraph.
Farah was held behind bars back in May while his brother won gold in the 10,000m final at the European Championships in Zurich.
