Report: Craig Bellamy to replace Gary Neville on Sky Sports

The fiery Craig Bellamy is reportedly in line to replace Gary Neville on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football show.

Ex-Liverpool and Manchester City forward Craig Bellamy has emerged as a leading candidate to replace Gary Neville on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football show, according to reports.

Much has been made over who will take over from the popular pundit following his shock appointment at Valencia last week, with Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard all touted to join Jamie Carragher and host Ed Chamberlain.

However, Bellamy, who retired at the end of the 2013-14 season with Cardiff City, is a front-runner to oust his big-name rivals, according to the Daily Mail.

The 36-year-old Welshman is well known for his outspoken nature and the Sky bosses are ready to pair him alongside former Reds teammate Carragher.

On Sunday, Carragher tweeted that he was looking forward to the coverage of tonight's clash between Everton and Crystal Palace because a "very lively guest" is on.
