Former England manager Sam Allardyce has reportedly been approached to appear on the next series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
The 62-year-old has been out of work since quitting Crystal Palace over the summer and recently turned down the chance to return to Selhurst Park.
According to The Sun, the former West Ham United, Bolton Wanderers and Blackburn Rovers boss has been offered "a six-figure sum" to appear on the ITV reality show, which is scheduled to return in November.
"This is not one of those rumours. They have been in touch several times to try to get him to sign on the dotted line," a source told the newspaper. "They are absolutely sure he would be a fantastic character to have in the jungle. He would be terrific, as you can imagine.
"His family are fully aware of the situation but it's down to Sam at the end of the day and he most definitely hasn't ruled anything out. He loves a challenge, loves a laugh and good company so joining the 17th series ticks all the boxes.
"He's not fazed by anything and can handle any problems thrown at him by people he doesn't get on with so all in all it seems to perfect TV show for him."
Other names in the frame for the series are George Best's son Calum Best, The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma Collins and EastEnders actor Danny Dyer.
