Bradley Wiggins and Jessica Ennis were the big winners at the 2012 British Sports Awards, an annual event hosted by the Sport Journalists' Association.
Wiggins took the crown of Britain's sportsman of the year after winning the Tour de France and taking Olympic gold in the London time-trial event.
Gold-medal winning heptathlete Ennis was chosen as the British sportswoman of the year for the third time in four years after polling two thirds of the votes cast.
Europe's successful Ryder Cup side were handed sports team of the year while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was handed best international newcomer at the ceremony held at the Tower of London on Thursday.
