Bradley Wiggins has been taken to hospital following a crash in Lancashire.
The Olympic gold medallist and Tour de France winner was involved in a collision with a van in Wrightington, which is near his Eccleston home.
The 32-year-old is believed to have broken his ribs as well as sustaining injuries to his hands and wrists.
Police have refused to give more detail over the severity of his wounds.
