Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan was reportedly mistaken for a terrorist while staying at a hotel in Antwerp.
The Belgium international was staying at the Raddison hotel with family when police approached him after being alerted by guests.
According to The Mirror, some people staying at the hotel were concerned as Nainggolan's hat and tattoos made him look suspicious, and with many European countries on high alert following last week's terrorist attacks in Paris, the guests called the police.
Officers arrived at the hotel and soon cleared up the confusion once they recognised the footballer, who did not seem too offended as he posed for photos with the police.
Many citizens in and around France are on edge after 129 people were killed by suicide bombers, who struck six locations across Paris on Friday night.
