BBC radio presenter Nick Conrad has faced criticism for telling women to 'keep their knickers on' in a discussion about convicted rapist Ched Evans's football future.
The former Wales international was released from prison last month after serving half of a five-year sentence for raping a 19-year-old woman in a hotel back in 2011.
Evans, who is open about his desire to return to football, has sparked controversy after being allowed to train with former club Sheffield United.
During a discussion about Evans, BBC Radio Norfolk presenter Conrad said that while it was "absolutely abhorrent" for a man to force himself onto a woman, females should take partial responsibility if they act as a tease.
"What I'm trying to say is that women also have to understand that when a man's given certain signals he'll wish to act upon them and and if you don't wish to give out the wrong signals it's best probably to keep your knickers on and not get into bed with him," the Daily Star quotes Conrad as saying.
The presenter swiftly apologised for his comments.
