Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has spoken of his experience crowd-surfing at a Kasabian gig, admitting that he got "a bit carried away".

The England international was photographed at the December gig trying to sit on the shoulders of a friend before being passed along the crowd.

Crouch told BBC Sport: "I got a bit more involved than I planned to. I'd been watching from the side quite reserved, but I ended up getting a bit carried away.

"A couple of fellas have lifted me up onto their shoulders, and then it's a case of enjoy it or try to get down. And I decided to enjoy it."

Crouch was in action for Stoke on Sunday as they succumbed to a 3-0 defeat away at Arsenal in the Premier League.
