Swansea City's Garry Monk offers reward to find burglars

Swansea City defender Garry Monk promises to give a 'generous' reward to anyone who has information on the thieves that stole a number of items from his home.

Swansea City veteran Garry Monk has promised to give a reward to anyone who has useful information regarding the thieves who raided his home in Wales.

A number of items, including laptop computers, jewellery and the defender's kit bag, was stolen from his property in Gower Road, Killay on Monday.

"It's an awful feeling, and it's the stuff we won't be able to get back that matters most," the South Wales Evening Post quotes Monk as saying.

"We have a lot of videos and pictures of our daughter on the computers which we won't be able to replace."

Monk also wrote on Twitter yesterday: "Anyone who has any info leading to the finding of whoever did this or the recovery of any items that were taken will be generously rewarded."

South Wales Police have revealed that the burglary took place between 9am and 2.45pm on Monday.
