Police reportedly made a handful of arrests when violence broke out ahead of last night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy match between Oxford United and Swindon Town.
The match itself ended in a 2-0 win for Oxford, but away from the pitch, before the match had begun, police were called into action on Botley Road.
According to the Daily Mail, Swindon supporters clashed with police, with one man alleged to have been pinned to the ground and arrested.
It is believed that glasses were thrown while fans hurled verbal abuse at the police officers on duty.
