Double Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah has revealed that he felt "blown away" at being made a CBE earlier this week.

The 29-year-old was named on the New Year Honours list in recognition of his outstanding achievements at this summer's London Games, where he won gold over 5,000 and 10,000 metres.

"I'm blown away," he told The Sun. "I'm honoured.

"For me 2012 is done and it's time to look ahead. But I'll never forget what everyone in Team GB achieved."

Farah and GB teammate Jessica Ennis were named Athletes of the Year by the British Athletics Writers' Association in October.
