The BBC announces plans to rebroadcast Wales's epic journey to the semi-finals of Euro 2016 in full next month.

The BBC has unveiled plans to rebroadcast Wales's epic journey to the Euro 2016 semi-finals in France in full this summer.

Competing in the tournament for the first ever time under Chris Coleman, the nation qualified for the knockout stages after finishing as group runners-up, before defeating Northern Ireland and then Belgium in a come-from-behind win in Lille.

All six games will be shown in full in chronological order starting from June 7 on BBC One Wales and BBC Two Wales as part of the Euros Rewind series.

"The whole qualifying campaign was an epic journey to the nation's first championship finals since the World Cup of 1958," said Rob Phillips, BBC Wales football correspondent. "But in France, Chris Coleman's squad helped us all embark on an odyssey none of us could ever have imagined ahead of the historic opening win against Slovakia.

"Nobody knew when it would end - but players, fans and media just relished every moment as Bale, Ramsey and co. wrote their own chapter in sporting folklore, with success which touched the national psyche in a way football had never previously done in Wales."

Viewers outside of Wales will be able to watch the coverage on Sky channels 952 (BBC One Wales) and 971 (BBC Two Wales).
