West Ham United striker Andy Carroll is reportedly being sued for £191,000 after allegedly wrecking the Merseyside mansion that he rented while playing for Liverpool.

West Ham United striker Andy Carroll is reportedly being sued for £191,000 after allegedly wrecking the mansion that he rented while living on Merseyside.

The 24-year-old, who permanently signed for the Hammers from Liverpool this summer, has been served court papers via his solicitors Glinert Davis, claiming that the striker took £75,000 worth of items from the home.

The England international, who is said to be fighting the claims, has also been accused of neglecting the indoor swimming pool and wrecking garden equipment, including a lounger and barbecue, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Landlords Jeff and Dawn Grant have also accused Carroll of failing to pay £68,000 worth of rent.
