Bobs Worth has lived up to expectations to clinch the Gold Cup at the Cheltenham Festival following a late surge.
Trainer Nicky Henderson has now secured his second victory in the highlight race in three years as Bobs Worth, who has never been beaten at Cheltenham, came from nowhere to cross the finish line first.
It was a perfectly timed run by rider Barry Geraghty, who looked unbeaten on Bobs Worth with three fences left to go, but the reliable racehorse managed to beat AP McCoy on Sir Des Champs.
The Giant Bolster took an early lead with Long Run, who looked comfortable with 10 fences left to go, but Bobs Worth (11-2) rose first from the last to take the crown.
Sir Des Champs (4-1) came in second, Long Run (7-2) finished third, and The Giant Bolster (16-1) secured fourth place.
