Castleford Tigers part company with head coach Ian Millward following a disappointing start to the Super League season.

Castleford Tigers have parted company with head coach Ian Millward following a poor start to the club's Super League season.

Millward and his assistant Stuart Donlan leave the Tigers bottom of the table following a run of nine defeats in 11 games.

A statement on the club website said: "After a promising start to the 2013 season, recent results have been unacceptable for all concerned, including sponsors and supporters.

"The club would like to thank Ian for his services and wish him all the best for the future."

Danny Orr will take temporary charge of the team while the Tigers search for Millward's successor.
