London Broncos still pointless for season

Hull Kingston Rovers record a 48-16 victory over London Broncos.

London Broncos are yet to get off the mark in the Super League this season after losing 48-16 to a strong Hull Kingston Rovers side on Sunday afternoon.

Travis Burns opened the scoring for the home team after 14 minutes, with the 30-year-old registering three goals in the first period, which Hull led 22-4 at the break.

Josh Hodgson and then Neville Costigan added tries as Hull further took control, but Denny Solomona moved the London side onto four points after 25 minutes.

Hull continued to dominate in the latter stages of the half, however, with tries from Adam Walker (30 minutes) and Ade Gardner (33 minutes) further extending the home side's lead.

Broncos moved to within 12 of Hull in the early stages of the second half following a goal from Joshua Drinkwater and a try from Alex Foster.

Foster added his second try moments later, but Gardner's second try of the match and then Kevin Larroyer's first allowed Hull to move 26-16 ahead with little over 15 minutes remaining.

Burns registered his fourth goal of the match moments later, before Hull took charge of the latter stages, with Craig Hall's two tries and a second for Hodgson securing a comfortable win for the home side.

The defeat for Broncos means that the capital outfit have lost all 14 of their Super League games this season, while Hull recorded their sixth win of the season.
