Salford Red Devils head coach Iestyn Harris rues missed chances

Salford Red Devils head coach Iestyn Harris admits that a lack of finishing cost his side during their 32-12 defeat to St Helens in the Super League.

Salford Red Devils head coach Iestyn Harris has admitted that missed chances cost his side during their defeat to St Helens in the Super League.

The Red Devils suffered a seventh consecutive loss in the competition on Friday as they were beaten 32-12 at Langtree Park.

Salford remain in 11th place in the table with 11 points from 16 matches.

"I think what [the scoreline] reflected is how clinical Saints were and the missed opportunities that we had," Harris is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"We created a lot of opportunities against one of the best sides in the competition. If we perform as we did [in this game] we're going to be difficult to play against - we've just got to pick up on those lapses in concentration defensively."

Salford are back in action on June 14 when they will travel to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
