Jamie Cudmore: "I'm living the dream"

Jamie Cudmore admits that he is "living the dream" after recovering from concussion problems to prepare for the World Cup with Canada.

Jamie Cudmore has revealed his excitement as he prepares to begin his fourth World Cup campaign.

The veteran Clermont lock was considered a doubt for the tournament earlier this year when he was forced to take a three-month break due to concussion problems.

It was reported that the 37-year-old was close to retiring before he bounced back to make a full recovery, and he insists that he still has no plans to retire.

"It's [cliche] to say it but I'm living the dream," Cudmore told reporters. "I've worked before - I don't want to go back to that right away!

"I logged trees, I built houses, I was in construction, I worked in a wrecking yard breaking cars down, I was a doorman, all kinds of jobs.

"I'm very happy to be able to be paid to play rugby, I'm very lucky, and so I'm determined to have fun doing it, and I'm going to keep going as long as I can."

Canada kick off their campaign against Pool D rivals Ireland next Saturday.
