Stuart Lancaster: 'England must be at best against Samoa'

Stuart Lancaster warns his England players that nothing but their best performance will be enough against Samoa.

Stuart Lancaster has claimed that England will have to be at their best to beat a "hugely motivated" Samoa side at Twickenham on Saturday.

England are currently on a run of five successive defeats, and Lancaster has warned his players that Samoa are strong enough to extend that streak if the hosts are not at 100%.

"We're expecting physicality, pride and passion from Samoa. This game is their cup final. It's a great opportunity for them and they'll be hugely motivated," the England head coach told reporters.

"I watched them beat Wales in Cardiff a couple of years ago in a similar fixture. They are very difficult opposition, so we need to be at our best.

"We know it's not a game we can take lightly whatsoever because they'll be putting us under pressure."

Lancaster has made five changes to his team for the game, with Owen Farrell moving to inside centre to make room for George Ford at fly-half.
