The hosts took control of the match in the first half, with Joe Launchbury, Billy Twelvetrees and Chris Ashton all finding the try line.

Nicolas Sanchez kept the Pumas in contention in the second half, kicking a series of penalties to leave Argentina 12 points down with over 20 minutes left to play.

However, the home side continued to create the majority of the chances and were able to add a fourth try late on, as Ben Morgan broke off a tackle from Santiago Cordero before crashing over the whitewash.

England face New Zealand next weekend, while Argentina travel to Wales.
