Rob Baxter to honour Exeter contract amid England rumours

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter insists that he will not leave his post for a position in the England coaching setup.

Rob Baxter has insisted that he will not leave Exeter Chiefs even if the Rugby Football Union approach him to join the England setup.

There are reports that the RFU will make changes to the nation's coaching setup following England's failure to progress past the pool stage at the Rugby World Cup.

"I expect players to emotionally buy into the club and that's what I've done," Baxter told BBC Devon. "I'm not going to back out on my contract now.

"Nothing will change at Exeter in the coaching setup, regardless of what happens to the England guys."

England head coach Stuart Lancaster will not reach the end of his contract with the RFU until 2020.
