Graham Rowntree lands Harlequins forwards role

Harlequins announce that Graham Rowntree will join their new-look coaching setup as forwards coach from next season.

Graham Rowntree has agreed to become Harlequins' forwards coach next season.

The Aviva Premiership club announced that the former England forwards coach would be part of a new Quins coaching setup, with Mark Mapletoft promoted to head coach.

"To have the opportunity to coach at such a prestigious and historic club really excites me," Rowntree told the club website.

"Harlequins has a very talented playing squad with a wealth of top-class experience and a fantastic crop of youngsters. I can't wait to join up with the new coaching group and get started."

John Kingston has left the role of head coach to replace Conor O'Shea as Quins director of rugby, while ex-England number eight Nick Easter will take up a role as player-coach.
