The home side were reduced to 14 men early on, as Ugo Monye was sent to the sin bin for deliberately not releasing a player.

Worcester were unable to capitalise while the wing was off the pitch, but David Lemi ensured that they went into the break ahead with a try 10 minutes before half time.

The home side come out strongly after the break, with Sam Smith and Harry Sloan both scoring tries in the space of 13 minutes.

Chris Pennell added a late try for Worcester as they looked to come from behind in the final minutes of the game, but even with the conversion they came up a point short.
