Ireland full-back Rob Kearney not getting carried away by win over South Africa

Rob Kearney warns his Ireland teammates not to get carried away by their recent victory over South Africa.

Ireland full-back Rob Kearney has urged his teammates not to get carried away by their win over South Africa ahead of Sunday's match with Georgia.

The Irish stunned the Springboks last weekend as they earned a 29-15 victory in Dublin.

Kearney and his teammates are favourites to beat Georgia this weekend, but the 28-year-old is not expecting an easy encounter against the Europeans.

"It is key we find the balance there between the two and by no means get carried away with one victory over a South African team who played poorly on the day and didn't really seem that the defeat hurt them after the game," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"We are very aware of just what was achieved on the day but by no means losing the run of ourselves and getting ahead of our station. [Georgia] are a good team and they have a huge pack. A lot, if not all of them, are playing Top 14 and Premiership rugby."

Kearney recently signed a three-year contract extension to remain with club Leinster.
