Chris Henry: 'Ireland dealt with pressure against Romania'

Ireland flanker Chris Henry suggests that his side dealt well with the pressure in their World Cup clash with Romania, as the Shamrock won 44-10 to go top of Pool D.

Ireland flanker Chris Henry has suggested that his side dealt well with the pressure they faced in their Rugby World Cup victory over Romania this afternoon.

Joe Schmidt's team defeated Romania 44-10 to move to the top of Pool D, and Henry believes that the players who came into the starting XV slotted into the team seamlessly.

"I thought [the match] went reasonably well for us, lots of positives," Henry told BBC Sport. "The pressure was certainly on the starting team I thought today, just with the changes and how well the team did last week.

"We've talked about as a squad of 31, it doesn't matter who goes on the pitch, you fit in seamlessly. I certainly felt today the starting team did a really good job.

"We stuck to the process and the gameplan, but we had to work for our chances, and I think overall we've got to be very positive."

Ireland will take on Italy in their next World Cup fixture on Sunday, October 4.
