Brian O'Driscoll has taken part in his first training session with Leinster since undergoing ankle surgery.
The Ireland captain has been sidelined since October with the injury, missing the Autumn Internationals.
Leinster coach Joe Schmidt told the Irish Independent: "Brian is out there for his first onfield session. We'll take any bit of good news we can get today. It was a tough weekend but we'll move on now and having those injuries starting to clear up is a positive."
Leinster have not said when the 33-year-old will return to competitive action, although it is hoped that he will be fit enough to feature for Ireland in the Six Nations, which start on February 2.
